Chris Belanger has been designing homes since graduating from the University
of Massachusetts in 1993. Prior to coming to Nantucket in 1996, he designed
homes, banks, and commercial interiors for an interior design and architecture
firm in Baltimore, MD. Chris managed a wide variety of residential projects
before forming his own firm in 2000. With partners Joe Paul and Mark
Cutone, he’s now a principle of Belanger, Paul, & Cutone Architecture.

Joe Paul
Co-founder of Belanger, Paul & Cutone.
|
|
Joe Paul’s interest in the built environment began as a young
boy in the woods of western Massachusetts, where he and his brother
spent countless hours constructing lean-to’s, tree houses, and
other various structures. This drive to create shelter eventually led
to an architecture degree from Syracuse University and desire to help
others achieve their vision of home. While attending college, Joe worked
with the architect that originally opened his eyes to the career of
Architecture way back in elementary school. He apprenticed with the
founder of the NACUL center where he learned about the synthesis of
Nature and Culture into architectural form. Joe’s interest in
natural materials and domestic architecture led him to Nantucket seven
years ago, where he enjoys meeting the contemporary needs of his clients
while being sensitive to the local context. In his free time, he makes
fun of bad architecture, visits the city, goes to music festivals, and
laughs a lot with his friends and family.
